Wouldn’t it be nice if one of these mornings we could wake up to no ‘bad’ news? Where a morning cup of coffee would buoy your spirits and fire you up to a brand new day full of prospect and good fortune?

But a sinking economy, recession, appeasement of those that would harm our country, a foreign policy that dilutes our supremacy on the world stage coupled with the now daily reports of the Obama administration’s corrupt dealings, would  seem to sap our resolve in believing that Obama has killed American ‘exceptionalism’ and hope for a brighter future.

With all of that said, and some not said, I believe the American spirit, key to our survival of individual rights, freedom of choice and traditions, will triumph in the end despite the sad sack policies of a President whose every action seems intent on diluting and eventually killing  that American spirit. Abraham Lincoln’s quote would seem to encourage us in that resolve, to rise up and take matters into our own hands. However, the intent was metaphorical.

We are slowly rising up especially with the advent of the Tea Party which has tweaked the American conscience to action. The key to success will  be for us to be as unrelenting in our message in opposition to the Obama lemmings who seem to have no clue that their path, if successful, will lead to the eventual destruction of our country. Time to get up, get out and throw Obama and his pantywaist followers out of Washington in 2012.

But the battle will be only half won if  the corrupting forces of the K St lobbyists and lawyers are allowed to continue do to everything possible to keep their ‘status quo,’ at the expense of the American people. Our mission then is to make sure whoever replaces the Alinskyite zombie now in the White House, is not allowed to continue in that vain.  Just my opinion.

 Economy: The head-scratching continues as stocks take another leg down. Why, they ask, must the market be so negative? With an economy buckling under leftist incompetence, what, we ask, is there to be positive about?

Funny, because it’s been going on for almost three years now, but hardly a day goes by without some bit of bad news the media calls “unexpected.” But investors have noticed.

After selling off 2.9% on Wednesday, the S&P 500 dived another 3.2% Thursday. The Dow industrial average is testing a 52-week low.

Wednesday’s drop came after the Fed unveiled its new plan for reviving the economy and as President Obama hit the road to sell his new but unimproved $447 billion stimulus.

Thursday’s “unexpected” news was that the four-week moving average for jobless claims — a labor-market bellwether — rose to 421,000. Any number north of 400,000 is considered recession territory.

Having been in the military and in law enforcement I have like most others of the same experience, seen more than my fair share of bloodshed and mayhem. But I wasn’t prepared for a YouTube video floating around that shows a crowd chanting ‘Allah Akbar’ as the head of a surrendered Libyan soldier was sawed off his body. (I will not post the video.)

This is of course the favored sport of Al Qaeda and it’s affliliated radical Muslim associates. This public display of barbarity should be played at every Presidential debate to show the result of an ill thought out foreign policy. Barack Obama might as well have helped cut that man’s head off .

Sad, though predictably, the mainstream propaganda organs and the diversity child himself make no mention of their contribution to what I predict is just the beginning of the ‘blood sport’ that mark Obama’s fabled ‘Arab Spring.’  Just my opinion.

Will Israel survive? That question hasn’t really been asked since 1967. Then, a far weaker Israel was surrounded on all sides by Arab dictatorships that were equipped with sophisticated weapons from their nuclear patron, the Soviet Union. But now, things are far worse for the Jewish state.

Egyptian mobs just tried to storm the Israeli embassy in Cairo and kill any Israelis they could get their hands on. Whatever Egyptian government emerges, it will be more Islamist than before — and may renounce the peace accords with Israel.

One thing unites Syrian and Libyan dissidents: They seem to hate Israel as much as the murderous dictators whom they have been trying to throw out.
The so-called “Arab Spring” was supposed to usher in Arab self-introspection about why intolerant strongmen keep sprouting up in the Middle East. The author of the following article presents a good point regarding the use of reformed Jihadi’s to combat Islamic extremism. Britain as we all know is in a fight for it’s life having absorbed a disproportionate amount of Muslims, many of whom are disaffected and want to install a Sharia type theocracy – the type of failed ‘religious’ socialism that many of them fled in the first place. The Muslim extremists are probing every possible weak spot in order to rip the fabric of traditional British society to shreds with the eventual objective of achieving the first Islamic caliphate in western Europe.

I don’t think we have yet to experience that type of fracture in our society though a quick tour of Dearborn, Michigan might lend most to think otherwise.

Currently we have CAIR and a host of their liberal progressive appeasers and apologists, including this President, working overtime to destroy our Constitutional government and tradition of free choice.  In the end, Islam like socialism, is an evil prescription that should either prove successful will spell the end of our individual freedoms.  Just my opinion….WM

The search for Islamism within the United States has created recent headlines there, some of them not altogether serious, but in the United Kingdom, where I’ve lived for the last year, scrutiny of Islamic extremism and its leading causes is a more urgent issue. Since 2003, at least one major terrorist attack on British soil has been either carried out or thwarted every year.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s most recognizable Western spokesperson, Kamal el-Helbawi, has lived in London for decades. (He recently said in Tehran that Iran was a model state for human rights. He also eulogized Osama bin Laden.) PressTV, the Iranian state-owned “news” channel, has its English-language headquarters in London: during the Green Revolution in 2009, it featured prison interrogations of Iranian dissidents as “exclusive” interviews. The Finsbury Park mosque produced Richard Reid, the Bromley-born Briton who tried to blow up a plane with a now-infamous “shoe bomb.” University College London graduated Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian who two years ago this Christmas tried to ignite his explosive-laden underwear in the skies above Detroit. To a degree unknown in America, intimations of religious totalitarianism are everywhere rattling around this antique world capital.
