The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said President Barack Obama’s budget would lead to annual deficits averaging nearly $1 trillion for the next decade…. the CBO estimated Friday. The estimates are for larger deficits than the budget shortfalls expected by the White House…..The Obama administration estimated its policies would lead to an average annual budget shortfall of $853 billion for the next 10 years….The difference is that Obama’s estimate expects more tax revenue.
The independent CBO and Obama expect a similar amount of government spending over the next 10 years — about $45 trillion. But the CBO expects Obama’s policies to bring in $35.5 trillion in tax receipts, less than the $37.3 trillion expected by the White House. CBO expects fewer tax revenues largely because it expects less economic growth than the White House over the next decade.
The deficit for this year is on pace to top last year’s record budget shortfall of $1.4 trillion, according to another CBO report. The larger deficit so far is due almost entirely to a drop in tax revenue. That being said we might ask, why is Obama trying to pass his health care reform scam which will realistically solve none of the problems of the health care system, increase useless bureaucracy and enhance bureaucratic corruption when there is no money to pay for it? I think we all know the answer to that, he will raise taxes on the middle class, not the rich, and further strangle the economy by leaving less money available for consumers to do what is necessary to the health of our economy – spend and consume.
One might liken this current administration and the Democrats to a constant migraine or better yet a nightmare that manifests itself even during our waking moments. The Obama administration’s destruction of the American economy and subtle subversion of our constitutional freedoms, sometimes leads me to think that the concept of “hell’s” location is perhaps in the wrong place, being rather on this plane than down somewhere else. While that may seem almost Kafkaesque, that thought certainly is valid considering the constant barrage of attempts by Obama and his minions to undermine our well being. I guess there really is no rest for the weary as long as this President continues his destructive policies. Just my opinion.
