Granting citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants would expand the “progressive” electorate and help ensure a “progressive” electorate and help ensure a “progressive” governing coalition for the long term, declared a recent adviser to President Obama whose union group is among the most frequent visitors to the White House. “We reform the immigration laws, it puts 12 million people on the path to citizenship and eventually voters,” stated Eliseo Medina, international excutive vice-president of Service Employees International Union, (SEIU.)
Medina was speaking at a June 2009 Washington conference for the liberal America’s Future Now! Medina said that during the presidential election in November 2008, Latinos and immigrants “voted overwhelmingly for progressive candidates. Medina forgot to mention a few other things, one that the SEIU gave the Obama campaign $ 60 million dollars in contributions and two, that the SEIU umbrella also represents many fraudulently documented illegal aliens in various service industries as well as many federal employees. While the progressives are demonizing conservatives with the help of their main steam media stooges, the influence of the SEIU in the Obama White House is out of proportion to that of any other outside influences seeking to influence White House policy. The issue of immigration reform, or “amnesty,” is another way for the radical liberal progressives to achieve more power and to loot more of your tax money for entitlement programs for their constituency.
The liberal agenda was perhaps put best by Justin Darr, writing on the “Renew America” website in 2005: “The intellectually inconsistent train wreck of philosophical thought that constitutes what America’s liberals believe today….
