Political Public Opinion: U.S. Terror Trials – A Non-Sequiter

 And so….we wake up to another morning, witness to the results of the Obama administration’s non-war, on non-terror. As if to prove the inept policies and the buffoonish perceptions of the administration, we need only look to the the move by Obama’s lap dog Eric Holder to hold terror trials in New York City.

 With regards to the controversy of providing KSM and the other degenerate Muslim terrorists a public venue in a civilian court,  there is now enough public out cry against that move. The question now is why isn’t the administration taking the hint to send these animals back to Guantanamo, sans any trial at all. The expedient move would be to immediately execute them. However, as we know this practical solution will never happen as result of cowardice by the former Bush and the current Obama  administrations.    

The genesis of of this whole controversy was the Bush administration’s sitting back and doing nothing to prosecute theses animals in a military tribunal sitting. Bush as a lame duck President could have told the bleeding heart progressives to shove their sensibilities,  but for some reason he became part of the problem we now have to deal with.  Enter the “new” Republicans:  

Republican lawmakers, seizing on New York City’s resistance to hosting a high-profile terrorism trial, are renewing a push to block foreign terrorist suspects from getting trials in U.S. civilian courts  Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) plans to introduce legislation on Tuesday to cut off funding for alleged Sept. 11 conspirators to face prosecution in federal courts, saying they should be tried by military commissions instead.   

A similar measure by Mr. Graham was defeated 54-45 in the Senate in November. In review of the whole controversy we might want to look at who else is complicit in this whole mess, namely the American public. Less than a century ago these terrorist animals would have been hung like the dogs they are. The American public at that time would have been celebrating once that goal was accomplished. Unfortunately we now have a pampered, over fed and self indulgent population more concerned with credit card limits and mutual self gratification; a public who whine like cry babies when their comfort zone is disturbed.  What happened to the American spirit and tradition of punishing our enemies as they should be punished?  America where are you?  Just my opinion.
