Peter,
Let me be the first to say that I have read "Advise and Consent" and i appreciate the concise and amusing parallels you have drawn between the book and Wash DC of today. It has been 30 years so I will today begin rereading this classic novel and I will recommend it to those whom I know to be politically astute and having graduated from school when the ability to read and write were still required.
