Iran has a strategy in Afghanistan so why doesn’t Obama?

“Strategy…A style of thinking, a conscious deliberate process, and intensive implementation system, the science of insuring fuiture success.”

Pete Johnson

Apparently our confused, (or maybe not so confused), President cannot rotate out of his strategy of socialist take over of our country and turn it to his responsibility of winning what he calls “the good war,” in effect abandoning our troops in Afghanistan each day he fails to make any type of decision or correctly put, “strategy,” to effect a win in that country.

Last week I referenced an article from the June 16, 2009, Army Times, in which soldiers in a large engagement, on May 28, 2009, in one of Afghan’s back waters, reported that they had heard Persian and Russian languages being spoken over the enemy’s radio net, this no doubt taking place at the same time Obama was probably sneaking out for a cigarette.  Moving on….

Iran’s troops known to be in Afghanistan, are from the elite Qod’s force, (Iranian commandos), who according to various intelligence sources have been slowly slipping into Afghanistan, training and supplying EFPs. In an article posted on Intelligence Wars blog site – Sourced from the Washington Post, January 29, 2009,  SECDEF Robert Gates was quoted, as saying that “Iran’s shipments of EFPs, (explosively formed projectiles), into Afghanistan has, (had), slightly increased.” The EFPs as explained inWikipedia, The Free Library, – Sourced from “The Fundamentals of Shaped Charges, by W.P. Walters and J.A. Zukas, are  decribed as: ‘A special type of shaped charge designed to penetrate armour effectively at stand off distances.’

Today on the Fox News cabel news network, Ret. General Robert Scales said that there are two forces at play in the White House with regards to an Afghan strategy. First, there is General McCrystal’s request for more troops to fight as well as to help in nation building as a part of a “hearts and minds” through counter-insurgency operations to defeat the Taliban on two fronts. The second proposal being argued is that of V.P. Joe Biden, to reduce the number of troops and conduct a counter-terrorism action. You may remember that Biden and others excoriated former SECDEF Donald  for not sending enough troops into Iraq to get the job done, and then conversely it was the Democrats who vehemently argued against the surge that made our slow withdrawal from Iraq possible – much to Obama’s chagrin.

This brings me at last to the supposition that Obama is either totally stupid, (which I don’t believe), or is intentionally ignoring the situation as part of a strategy to weaken our influence and integrity – the question is why? Apparently those that wish to do just that, can stand back and watch, because it’s beginning to look like Obama will bring our country down for them.   Just my opinion.
