Liberal Hypocracy and William Shockley

“Abortion is only advocated by those who have themselves been born”

Ronald Reagan

An article in the Wall Street Journal, Monday, August 31, 2009, by Bobby White, ran a story from Auburn, California where a controversy has erupted over a gift of land, was made to the city of Auburn,  by the late William Schockley. ” Schockley, a scientist, promoted the theory of  ‘eugenics.”  (Eugenics, for those unfamiliar with the theory, held in essence that certain populations were inferior, less intelligent and should be sterilized of have forced abortions.)

The land which is described a largely forested is to be made into a city park. However, liberal community groups and pro abortion activists are up in arms calling on the city to reject the gift based on Shockley’s racial theories. On the surface that would seem predictable, but the fact is the liberal feminist movement  promotes another type of “eugenics” called Planned Parenthood, and chooses to ignore the fact that the organizations founder, Margaret Sanger, was herself a racist and eugenicist.

In an article appearing in the Citizen, June 20, 1992, (sourced the BlackGenocide.org web site), it was noted that Sanger wrote a number of articles during the 1920s promoting eugenics. Conversely, radical feminist Gloria Steinem wrote a piece on Margaret Sanger,  in Time Magazine, April 13, 1998, in which she, while promoting abortion, gave a very weak excuse about Sanger’s proselytizing eugenics, that flying in the face of Sanger’s stated intent of selective population control, (as evidenced in the many articles she wrote, supporting eugenics.) Steinem wrote: “She, (Sanger), adopted the mainstream eugenics of the day partly as a tactic, since many many eugenicists opposed birth control on the grounds that the educated would use it, (abortion), more.” Steinem’s piece should really come as no surprise. She like other liberals, will always have an excuse or explanation to discount anything negative or contradictory to whatever they support – should we be at all surprised?

The only piece of sanity in this whole issue is that the city of Auburn is going to go ahead with making the land into a park – just think, all those children born will be able to play in the park – those that were aborted never will.  Just my opinion.

One Response to Liberal Hypocracy and William Shockley

Here is where Obamachange is a step in the right direction. While eugenics advocates the iquidation of the geneically inferior there will be no predjudice with Obamacare. We will all meet our waterloo at the hands of bureaucrats when we are ripe enough. Change we can believe in….
