Comment – Opinion. We are all aware by now of the bleeding hearts who condemn the use of torture on savages who kill innocents as well as our troops. Most of these people, (as I have previously stated in other articles), have in all probability never been faced with the violence that terrorists visit upon others. The following article is a great example of “intellectual stupidity” by liberals with regards to torture.
The Tortuous road to truth. (Los Angeles Times – Op Ed, Sunday, July 19, 2009, by Doyle McManus.) “Whenever he’s asked about the scandals of Americaa’s war on terror – the torture – the wrongful detentions….President Obama has responded….”We have to focus on getting things right in the future as opposed to looking at what we got wrong in the past.”….But that approach won’t work…. (according to McManus)….We need a public reckoning….The latest controversy, (only in the minds of liberals), was the disclosure last week that the CIA has launched, (a total lie in that the program was never activated – apparently the author is bending truth to fit his weak ideology), a program to track down and kill Al Qaeda leaders without informing Congress.”
This guy is a moron. He evidently was never assigned a combat patrol where he and his team members might be killed by Al Qaeda operatives – or even further he has no doubt not, (I would assume), lost a family member to terror. What would happen if the corrupt wimps in control of Congress were informed? There would be a public debate on the morality of this program rather than a demand for concrete results. What McManus and his fellow travelers fail to realize is that the quicker you cut off the head 0f the snake the quicker the rest of the body will die. I believe, contrary to what he thinks, that the vast majority of Americans would have no problem with taking whatever steps were necessary to bring terrorism to a halt. But then, we are dealing with bizarre individuals with no concept of reality – in a perfect world and in the right circumstances, they would be the victims – to which I would say – good riddance.
The last point I would make is that Obama is attacking those practices, despite his protestations otherwise, through his surrogates like House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi and Janet Napolitano, Director of Homeland Security, (she), who will not use the term “war on terror,” to describe – the war on terror. Hopefully we will be rid of these weaklings and fools by 2012. Just my opinion.

On the issue of torture, a singular method of alleged torture is used to reign in the American advantage in this war. Water boarding, where death is not even part of the equation, because from its inception, it is not designed to cause drowning, neither legally, mechanically or inadvertently.
There are no other allegations of torture related activities against the United States Forces or the Intelligence Community. The excesses and abuse of Abu Gharab was not torture, it was abuse by arrogant and unsupervised soldiers who had no corrections or penal experience or training. This is war, especially a war we were prevented from being prepared for and on the heels of Clintonesque dumb down of the defense community by 40 percent budget reductions as he deployed them more than at any time in history all over the world.
Concurrent with those reductions was the typical Democratic Party sabotage of the intelligence community by self-inflicted wounds by restriction and pursuit of spies and theft of America’s secrets by lawyers, who do nothing and have no real experience as practitioners, yet are allowed to establish and promulgate risk averse and zero-defect policy that has sabotaged productivity and aided and abetted the bloodletting Americans have been forced to endure, it is shameful, violates every international law that I know of and has never had any curiosity of the alleged human rights groups. Not one of them has been held accountable for what is quite obviously malfeasance in office. Only Republicans are held accountable, remember that.
The ACLU cannot be bothered. It is altogether too weird and whacko and untrendy and common to these groups to be passionately defensive and assertive as an American.
In any case, this method of extracting information from select combatants, water boarding, is from more than one corroborative source known to have been quite productive in extracting information that could not be developed before the session began. This is the one method to defeat the well trained and deep psychological advantage embedded in the combatants who have been expertly trained to withstand and neutralize interrogation techniques, and have done so quite successfully.
The focus on this one method is quite instructive. It is pursued because of psychological warfare from the usual leftist, liberal collaborators, ideologically compromised who are elected officials in Washington DC , sophisticated media moguls who are blatantly one-sided and not at all as in-depth, thorough investigative reporters as they are portrayed. The battlefield is for the will of the American people. This is attacked by lividly callous psychological warfare in favor of the enemy objectives, period.
The enemy has been guilty of far worse genocide and calculated evil, repeatedly, yet nothing is said, no one is being pursued to be held accountable even at The Hague. Children playing on soccer fields for the first time in years are killed as intelligence was collected that they would be out there for the first time in years was exploited by burying improvised explosive devices on the soccer field well before they set out to play.
Women and children beheaded repeatedly. Muslims who convert to Christianity are crucified upside-down in public. These are but a few examples, the reality would take volumes.
So where is the ACLU, the parade of human rights groups, the self-propagating, shallowly dignified and cultured, phony intellectual university professors and Democratic Party cowards when it comes to the enemy excesses and blatant violations of international law and Geneva Convention parameters?
Dead pan silent as they were for eight long years alone, the 1990s, when Americans were killed repeatedly in ever increasing lethality of attacks. I think by their own silence and focused targeting of agenda, they already tell us who they favor and support, and I do indeed question their patriotism, because it is completely and absolutely, willingly compromised by people who would not fight for this nation if the war was right on their own front lawn.
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself…
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero 42 B.C
