Comment – Opinion. One of the biggest weakness of the administration’s health care reform is that it condemns a whole sector of the U.S. population to possible early death because of the medical procedures that will be denied seniors under the bill. An article published in The Bloomberg Report, (February 9, 20-09, by Betsey McCaughy), outlines a few provisions of this bill that will affect not only the quality, but availability of medical care.
The article mentions that Tom Daschle in his book, ”Critical Care What Can We Do About It,” (which outlines the health care reform bill), begins by stating that doctors have to give up their autonomy, (ie, give decision making abilities to the government),and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.” ( Simply put – the government will make the decision whether or not medical care will be applied to any specific medical need under sections 445, 454,479 of H.R. 1 EH of the Health-Care Reform bill.)
Regarding senior care, Daschle, quoted in this article, said health care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. Medicare which now covers treatment cost for those procedures deemed safe and effective will be co-opted by the new system which will determine cost-effectiveness of treatment rather than need as determined by the Federal Council, (that body being the bureaucrats of the Federal Council “advisory board”), as outlined in section 464 of the H.R. 1 EH.
In an article on CNSN.com, Obama Suggests Health Care Reform Will Mean Rationing For Some….(June 26, 2009, by Christopher Neefus), Obama during ABC’s health-care forum Wednesday from the White House, “Prescription for America,” cited his deceased grandmother’s hip replacement surgery as an example of rationing care. Obama asked pointedly about his grandmother’s need for the hip replacement, answered the question by saying “(If) it’s my family member, it’s my wife, it’s my children, if it’s my grandmother, I always want them to get the very best health care.” He went on to say if a procedure wasn’t covered under the health care reform he would pay for those procedures out of his own pocket.
This I think this says it all – if you or I are denied medical treatment under this bill we are screwed. Obama and his posse of elites however, having the money to pay out of pocket for procedures not covered by the reform – will not be held to the same standard as the average American citizen. This then is part of the “change is here” agenda that so many Americans voted for and by doing so may have hastened their own deaths – socialism has never been about equality – it has always been about control. Just my opinion.

Euthanasia for seniors and young with diseases? Are you serious? Save 500 billion by killing people in the name of Health Care Reform? All you who voted for Obama/Pelosi/Frank/and all the other idiots in Congress who support this, didn’t realize thier plans on knocking members of your family off the earth because they have a disease. Now in my family alone he just handed my sister(breast cancer), mother(MS) neighbor boy(cystic fibrosis) their death sentence. If I get my death sentence handed to me I would like to have a duel with Obama! 50/50 chance I get to live longer! What a freaking inhumane sicko group of losers. Read page 425 of the health bill! Say goodby to Grandma/Grandpa!

And just to comprehend a little more of what the dynamics are, this all comes from a political party that has trumped itself as the champion and watchdog of the underprivileged, the working man, the downtrodden huddled masses. In each event where these alleged human rights advocates show their true intent, it is blatant that their true mission is exactly 180 degree reverse azimuth. Their true north is Marxism, which has no time more inclination for compassion for anyone or anything. Willing fools come to the torrent and get swept up in the psychology and the ideologue because it has all the trappings of a high school clique.
I left the Democratic Party several years ago. When I was in high school the Social Studies Department was lividly Democrat-Socailist and vehemently ant-war in the Viet Nam era. The Chiarman of the department was later elected to the State Senate and dictated the cesspool of surrender known as New Jersey.
