Joe Biden – A Break With Reality?

Biden Challenges Critics of Stimulus.  (FoxNews.com, Thursday, July 16, 2009.)  ” Vice President Biden defended the Obama administration’s economic stimulus package Thursday by suggesting that without the federal government spending massive amounts of money to shore up the economy, the country would go bankrupt.”

In the mid 1980s I called into conservative commentator Dennis Praeger’s radio show, ( the subject of discussion is since forgotten), in the course of the conversation I mentioned to him that the situation we were discussing was akin to events in the “Bizarro World,”  (a term he sometimes still uses), portrayed in the Superman Comics – where good was bad, bad was good – you get the picture.  To make my point Biden’s comments make no sense. The federal government is spending money they don’t have to buy businesses and financial institutions in which they have no operational  expertise, and are continuing to print money that is rapidly losing value in the world currency market. The national debt has increased three fold since the administration took office six months ago. So….Joe, if conditions in our reality has only gotten worse how can you defend the stimulus?

Oh…. I get it – rich guys like you who are so used to making the rules that  have gotten us to this place,  still arrogantly believe you can alter reality to fit your belief”s. The fact of the matter is that  there has been no improvement in the economy despite what the administration shills trumpet to us through their mainstream media stooges.  Joe, why is it so hard for you to see that the stimulus which is allegedly supposed to put the breaks on our bankrupt economy is instead driving us further into bankruptcy? 

It has occurred to me that Obama should be worried about this guy – he takes foot in mouth disease to a new level, but in retrospect I say, thank God. If we didn’t have an illogical buffoon like Biden making “bizarre” pronouncements on a frequent basis – we wouldn’t have a clue what the bizarro people are really all about - manufacturing lies that fit their reality.  Just my opinion.
