Obamanomics Supporters – Cracks in the Dike. (The Washington Times – Political Debate – Opinion, July, 2009, by Larry Elder.)Conservative radio talk show host and commentator Larry Elder made the following observations last week: While the media stopped to cover Micheal Jackson’s death, several tremors rocked the foundation of something that actually effects all of us – Obamanomics. First….Colin Powell….criticized Obama’s spending saying “we can’t pay for it all….I’m concerned at the number of programs that are being presented, the bills associated with these programs and the additional government that will be needed to execute them….you can’t have so many things on the table that you can’t absorb everything.”
Elder also pointed out that a 2003 report by the Federal Reserve further illustrates Obama’s incompetence, in the area of economics. The Fed in that report warned of the nation’s growing debt and deficit, calculating their impact on long-term interest rates, ie the results of the excessive spending will cause a debt explosion, (this report of course alluding to former President Bush’s war spending – but also criticizing the excessive spending by Congress.) Apparently one of Obama’s weak spots is that he cannot read.
Another surprise by Elder was his mention of Obama’s rich elite supporter Warren Buffett who said, ” A country that continually expands its debt….and raises much of the money abroad, (China and Russia), to finance that, at some point, it’s going to inflate it’s way out of debt.” To further illustrate the cracks in Obama’s support, Elder writes, Obama’s….billionaire benefactor hyper -liberal, MoveOn.org’s George Soros, predicted that the administration’s borrowing and spending will trigger inflation and higher interest rates,” ( this from a man who almost destroyed the British pound by speculating on it’s value.)
It is no longer a secret that Obama and his enablers are destroying our economy and like I have said before, keep your eyes opens and hand on your wallet – though when hyper inflation hits, you may as well take the pictures out of your wallet and throw it away, because money will then be worth nothing. Just my opinion.

Thank you, but there’s more to my disgust. Powell as I look back has been a fair weather friend of this country. He’s a good man who has forgotten who he is and where he is-willingly. Many place country before self, conciously, willingly and pay the price. Problem here is many now check for a soft PLF for themselves first before deciding they will serve or enter the fire. Me-first is killing this country, and the death will be by a thousand cuts. Obama is simply a reflection of what we want and when we want it. We don;t care about the details until the devil of them it is in our face. The 1990s are a classic example of sleeping through the bloodbath and then amazement on the morning of 9/11.
Now they are slaughtering the memory of the Bush years by reversing every national security effort that was painfully acquired, and none of what was established during the Bush years is any giant leap, it’s simply a band-aid. All the enemy propaganda was to stop band-aids like the USAPATRIOT ACR. This country is in dire need of a ferociouis and relentless intelligence service that is pro-active and productive. The days are treacherous and threning and we see what the Obama Administration is doing with no whimper whatsoever. We are willing fools.
There is no leadership, that much has been blatant since January, Colin Powell, I have no respect for the man and he typifies the ciat tail rider who actually thinks he got there by all his own merit.
Very well said – people like Colin Powell let their emotions over ride reality – a classic trait of liberals. Powell who is far more worldly and better educated in life than our Manchurian candidate President should have known better. The liberal elites in this country who think Obama is their man will be sorely mistaken if this clown President can ever fully realize his agenda – he will dump them like the rotten garbage that they are – much as did the egotistical socialist dictator Hugo Chavez. He and Obama are one and the same. Just my opinion.
