Obama and the African Slave Trade

Comment – Opinion.  Obama with his family on his African, “hey – I’m just like you” tour, visited the Cape Coast Castle which during the day’s of the slave trade was the collection point for captured African’s who were then shipped to the Americas. Obama was quoted in a CNN interview with Anderson Cooper, (reported on FoxNews.com, Sunday, July 12, 2009 – sourced from an A.P. Wire story), as saying, “slavery is a terrible part of U.S. history and should be taught in a way that connects past cruelty to current events, such as Darfur.”

Well Mr. President no kidding - that observation is all well and good, but if that period of history is to be reported ad-nauseum once again, make sure that this time you let the people know it was the Africans themselves who raided other villages along with Arab slave traders and sold them to western slave ship captains in a continuation of slavery practices dating back thousands of years – Americans did not invent the slave trade, and white Americans are getting tired of race baiters trying to pin the guilt on us.

Obama’s comments as I interpret them is that white Americans are going to be subjected to another round of the  victimization guilt game that has  been so successfully used by them and their bleeding heart liberal supporters.

Here’s a message for you Mr. President – we have been beat up enough by being told it is our fault in some way for the crimes of generations past. Neither I nor anyone  I know has never been a part of the slave trade. However, I do know that you and your ilk are part of that which you condemn – you have continued that policy by enslaving the minds of African Americans to the fact that slavery by the white man has never ended – you and your co-conspirators, who derive their political power from this continual reminder of events past,  are the real slave masters -why don’t you just  let your people go?  Just my opinion.

Unfortunately for us they, liberal revisionists, are in control of the educational system….which leads me to ask the question – if the liberals are so smart, then how come our young people are becoming so under-educated? However, it doesn’t matter if this dumbing down is intentional or just reflects the stupidity of the liberal mind set – it is tantamount to treason. Just my opinion.
