Comment – Opinion. The mainstream media enablers have once again stuck their feet in their mouths. The print, television, and .com venues all reported that CIA Director Leon Panetta said that the CIA lied to Congress regarding the famous, “they didn’t brief me ” affair orchestrated by the shrew, Nancy Pelosi. The media reports were a response to a letter by seven Democrates saying that he, (Panetta), told them that the CIA did lie - something Panetta disputes. Rep. Pete Hoekstra, (R- MI), interviewed on Fox and Friends this morning, (July 9, 2009), on the Fox News Cable channel said, (I’m paraphrasing), that Panetta told the House Intelligence Committee that he was misquoted by the press, (what else is new.) What we have here is the proverbial “failure to communicate.” The press reports failed to mention that no matter how hard they tried, (the House Intelligence Committee), when investigating Pelosi’s assertion that she was lied to, found no evidence that her allegations were in fact true.
Let’s face it, Pelosi like most politicians can glibly lie in the face of television cameras, and when proven wrong can sheepishly come up with a half – baked excuse for their lie. Pelosi seems more adept at the art of the “fib” than anyone with the exception of Bill Clinton, who “did not have sex with that women,” (who can forget Bill’s frolic with Monica Lewinsky under his desk in the Oval Office.) However, the difference between the two liars is that Bill Clinton can pull off the sheepish frat boy grin, (his approval rating with the frat boys went up after that incident), and get away with it while Pelosi with her shrewish facial expression is totally unbelievable and comes across like the rodent she really is. Just my opinion.
