Try and stop me!
Zelaya is a budding Chavez style socialist dictator. Elected to the Honduran Presidency in 2005 he started out espousing many socialist style reforms. However, (unlike our beloved President), he was faced with opposition from the private sector and the media, (who had seen how Chavez wrecked the Venezuelan economy and curtailed personal freedoms of expression.) However, Zelaya stumbled when he over reached and sought to curb the country’s media by forcing Honduran television stations to run government propaganda 10 hours a day; Honduran Tv Gets Government Order. (BBC News, May 25, 2007, by Will Grant BBC News Americas editor.) Zelaya was quoted in the article as saying….”that the short-term measure is necessary because of unfair coverage of his government.” Note : the article stated two hours a day – that was after the new and media unions rose in opposition to the move, (they evidently smarter and better educated than their Venezuelan colleagues.)
Zelaya took Honduras into ALBA, ( Bolivian Alliance of the Americas – brainchild of Bolivian socialist dictator Evo Morales and Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez.) The premier members of this organization are Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Nicaragua, among others – this is a who’s who of leftist South American socialist dictators. The stated purpose of this organization is to establish international cooperation organization, based on the idea of social, political and economic integration between the countries of South America and the Caribbean. It is leftist in ideology.
The following article highlights the the intended objective of the member countries; ALBA bloc leaders chip away at democracy. ( The Miami Herald – The Oppenhiemer Report, Saturday, June 29, 2009.)….”participating members were elected democratically for their vows to fight corruption and poverty, but most of them have focused their energies upon taking office on changing, (their countries), constitutions and trying to remain in power indefinitely.”
Zelaya tried to follow the Chavez’s game plan of nationalizing first energy, followed by industry and banking institutions, (sound familiar), and then crushing the opposition media, (Obama hasn’t gotten there yet but his continued whining over unfair treatment and criticism by the Fox News is highly suspect in my opinion.) However, the coup stopped Zelaya in his tracks. It is then, easy to see what Zelaya’s intentions were. Upon reviewing the developing story it is easy to see why Obama is friends with Chavez and is sticking up for Zelaya – it’s that old birds of a feather thing again. Just my opinion.

The Obamanator has a walk in the park on his road to Socialism. Not only is corporate America hesitant to invoke his ire by crying out against their decreasing ability to cry out but also there is no misbehaving media to crush. And I feel it is only a matter of time before the somewhat “Fair and Balanced” becomes one of the “Unfair and Unbalanced”‘ They will have to turn to the left to survive the coming Oligarchy. After all it is all about money, isn’t it? Ever see these pukes on the supposed right mugging it up with Al Sharpton after supposedly taking him to task for his racist al sharptonisms? They always end with,”my friend, hope to see you soon.”
Between the aadministration’s thuggery (is that a new word?) and our constitution, that has been twisting in the wind since the 60′s, I feel less than confident about the metaphsical forces for good being able to fight back and one day free us from the dark force that really does exist in today’s America. Do we need to denigrate to cliche’ status the oft quoted, “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”? Don’t be surprised…..
