“The Generic Latino”

Comment.  Gregory Rodriguez a columnist for the Los Angeles Times wrote a piece, (Monday, June 1, 2009 – titled above),which questioned the impact of the term Latino, Latina et, al.  Rodriguez pointed out, (read between the lines), that the term is broadly used by the media and except for the elite liberal dems, ( like Obama – who grew up in a white world – removed from those he claims to identify with – I think the correct term is oreo),  is not embraced by the different country origins of those labeled as Hispanic. Most Hispanics, Rodriguez points out think of themselves as Americans of an ethnic origin identifying the country where they immigrated from.

I can illustrate this from my own personal experience of having lived in Southern California for the last 4o years. If you ask a person if they are Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan or any other Hispanic origin they will immediately let you know;  if you incorrectly ask a Salvadorean if he is Mexican he will sharply comeback with something like, “do I look like a stupid Mexican to you?”  Conversely the same result will, (with some sort of mental challenge or sexual  innuendo comment), occur if that inquiry is made in reverse. Hispanics from these different countries bristel when incorrectly identified and not all are on board with the lumping together of their ethnic origins to a generic term, ie, ‘Hispanic.’ Obama’s choice of Sotomayer is perhaps the most blatant current example to illustrate my point. The Mexican American community , for example, (Rodriguez writes), and others, may not have any affinity with Sotomayer who is of Puerto Rican ethnicity.

The point made, perhaps subliminally is that Obama is a hypocrite with his attempt at socially engineered diversity. Peter Baker, (writing for the New York Times, Saturday, May 30, 2009),  in an article titled, “Court Choices Bring The Issue Of  ‘Identity” Back Out”,  further illustrates that our illustrious President, ” while in the heat of his primary battle last year…  bemoaned ‘identity politics’ in America, calling it  an enormous distraction”,  from the real issue of the day,” (should you be surprised?)

Obama has in my personal opinion ,  been one of the biggest hypocrites and liars in recent history;  reading his decisions on policy and his comments on the short comings of the American character, I am embarrassed that there were enough ignorant people to vote him into office.  It is easy to see that  Obama is so self absorbed he doesn’t notice, or perhaps really doesn’t care, what verbal diarrhea dribbles out of his big mouth.   Obama’s attempt to push a generically labeled partisan down our throats once again, a person who thinks she is better at decision making than white males,  shows a removed and super enumerated  arrogance in not paying attention to what most Americans think or feel.   Just my opinion.

I completely agree with you. Multiculturalism is an attack of the heart, not a glue that binds us. Accentuating one’s ethnicity in a matter of egentic pride is one thing, but when it is elevated as a supremacist rule to shpw egotistical drive over all others is where you become tyrannical.

In the present case, I am concerned about a judge who harbors racial bitterness as evidenced by her writing, words she chose to use, and a record so far of less than stellar ethics. if ti were a white male who the quote was attributed to in favor of white judges of where another group was used to bolster a comparison that elevated the white judge, we would not be contemplating this very long. The career would be decapitated and the remains danced around to show the evils of white males.

Double Standard: Here we suggest she didn’t really mean what she wrote.

“Unrestricted” is a good descriptor for these groups you cite. They are not being curtailed enough to provide an example of what the rule of law will tolerate and do not provide a suitable detterent to show unacceptable behaviors and ethics.

The groups run the gammut from the neo-nazi, KKK through the La Raza to the Black Panthers. These groups all have commonality, and none of them will confess this commonality. The racial divide also has arsonists that have created a publicly acceptable double standard, as evidenced by the continual pointlessness of Sharpton and Jackson. Ward Connerly is though of and accused of being just some tool of the white man.

The most impotant thing about this thing we call America is that we are ONE NATION. This who love this nation know it instinctively, and proceed accordingly, no matter their biology and we have a right, a constitutional right to expect those in leadership to evidence corroborative standards that would almost be security clearance in sphere: Loyalty, Discretion, Intergrity, Morals and Character. Even their unspoken presence will be a role model for children, the cyclical health of this nation.

In recognition of the Divine Providence, we pledge to each other OUR LIVES, OUR FORTUNES and most preciously OUR SACRED HONOR.

    This the issue: Sacred Honor.

And before anyone goes there, I am quite versed with Latinos. I love them deeply, I speak Campesino quite well and have some time as a USINS Agent. I personally know several Latinos in law enforcement and the patruello, whose values and character are void of any racial poison.

To note: both my son-in laws are Salvadorian, both successful, and I have inlaws of Mexican decent – my beef is against those who thrive on negative polarization that foster division amonst ethnic groups – mainly the elite who can continue their unrestricted damage to whatever homogeneous threads that still bind us together as a nation.

What like about this little game is that the Sotomayor is not a normal unwashed publican. She is and has been for some time now a seasoned court judge who has the prowess of communicability in oral and written venues. She must choose her communications carefully and with deliberation, after all she is a judge. Obviously, prior to that she was an attorney who rose to judgeship. Only in America.

That being said, the push-back from legitimate questions concerning her character as determined from expressions thereof over time, are moot. To suggest she mis-spoke as it has been alleged, doesn’t cut it.

This is an indicator of an issue our nation is drowning in and is about to succumb to, allowing ourselves to do whatever we desire, exploiting freedom to our selfish benefit. then when someone is injured because of this constitutional excess, consequences-punishment, originally designed as a graphic detterent are lacking and abhorred.

To evenm have a scintilla of suggestion that she did not write or speak her words consciously is an indicator of her character, yes. But what’s more, her values, which Obama like to use to poke fun of real warriors who have made a huge difference in the bloodletting his crew presided over in the 1990s.

Her values would have been fine by me if she did not go racial. Her use of the “white male” thing deeply evidences an issue with white males, no more graphically illustrated by her court case where she has lynched a host of white fire fighters whose only fault is that they dilligently studied for a promotional exam. I am looking at her words and actions corroborating her racist soul.

I wonder if Eric Holder has the courage to say somethuing about this, or is he too busy trying to legally insert sleeper agents into this nation’s capital from Gitmo?????
