Comment. Former Senator Fred Thompson, also the D.A. on the Law and Order series, made a comment that I feel describes this current administration perfectly. In a speech to the California Commonwealth Club, (a philanthropic service organization), Thompson said this: ”After two years in Washington, I long for the realism and sincerity of Hollywood.” After looking at Thompson’s quote I thought just change “two Years” to 4 months – the impact is nauseating, (about the same effect of an unexpected g-force hitting your chest as the airplane you are riding in takes a steep dive.)
Thinking of the current cast of characters, it has occurred to me that the various players in this current horror show are like so many ball bearings rolling around in a bowl, constantly changing directions yet still bumping into each other. There is a surrealism to the whole affair that makes me shudder at times. I am not really sure who is in charge. Every time one of the stick figures in the ‘change is here crowd’ floats their opinion a controversy erupts, whether it’s the bovine Director of Homeland Security, the shrewish Speaker of the House, the windbag Chuck Shumer of New York , or the socialist wannabe Barak Obama, the financial bag man Tim Geithner, or the bogeyman George Soros; (I cite no examples because there are too many – only the blind and deaf – and the ACORN constituency are ignorant of the many fumblings of this administration – no disrespect to the blind and deaf intended.)
I am getting a mild headache thinking about this stuff – I was thinking of going to the movies but maybe I’ll turn on Fox News for some entertainment – it’s free and more pertinent than anything the above mentioned players have to say, (this is more of a ramble than I intended – have a great weekend!)
