Comment: On april 22, 2009, I posted “Torture Memos – Update“. In the piece I stated that an article which ran in the Washington Post in December, 2009, was in direct contradiction to Nancy Pelosi’s assertion that she was never told about water boarding being used on terrorists. The article was titled:
In Meetings, Spy Panels’ Chief Did Not Protest, Officials Say,(Washington Post, December 9, 2007, pg. A01, by Joby Warrick and Dan Egan, Washington Post Staff Writers). “In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody…..For more than an hour, the bi-partisan group which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, (D-CA), was given a virtual tour of the CIA’s overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk…..Among the techniques discussed, said two officials present at the meeting, was water boarding.”
Now you must decide who’s lying, my bet is that won’t be so hard to do.
