Opinion.I find it interesting, as have many of you, that Obama seems not very astute in the true intentions of Muslim fanatics. His pronouncement of the above proclamation on his recent visit to Turkey has, according to one of my contacts in the military, fostered a perception among the militant Islamists that Obama is weak and that there is no respect for Obama in the world of militant Islam. Obama apparently doesn’t have a clue.
We saw that the Pakistani government, perhaps a mirror of Obama’s perceptions, sought to accomodate the Packistani Taliban by giving them control of the Swat Valley on the Northwest frontier with Afghanistan; the following is the latest update:
Taliban Sieze District Near Islamabad. (Wall Street Journal – Asia Section, April 22, 2009, by Zahad Hussein). “Pakistan’s Taliban have seized control of another district in the country’s northwest just 70 miles north of the capital, (Islamabad), after consolidating their hold on the Swat Valley following a peace deal with the government, according to local government officials and residents. Sufi Mohammed, a radical cleric and Taliban leader…addressing a crowd in Mingora in the Swat Valley declared, that “western democracy is for infidels’ and should be rejected by Muslims”. (Really Barak, any serious scholar on Islam could have told you that).
What Obama needs to understand, (and apparently doesn’t have the capacity to), is that there is no room for appeasement in the radical Islamic jihad. The majority of Muslims live in the third and fourth world and do not have any idea or concept of democracy and will stick to their faith ahead of any other establishment for the simple reason that Islamic scripture is an instrument of suppression that does not tolerate freedom of thought, ( or disagreement).
In closing , Pakistan has been sucking up our tax money and falling deeper and deeper into ruin. You, (Obama), might want to take some decisive action like destroying Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal before the Pakistani civilian government falls to the Taliban, as it probably will. My personal opinion is that we will probably end up sending more of our troops unnecassarily into harms way; civil war in Pakistan may well prove to be more brutal than anything we have seen in Iraq.

Hey tallyman, tally de bananas, daylight come and me wann go home. Oh crap, you mean Taliban, I’m sorry. De Taliban mon, they don’t count bananas, they cut of a woman’s nose or ears for not covering up her big toe when appearing in public or stepping outside her dooway without the accompaniment of a male relative. No worse I guess than the Catholic Church requiring a women to wear a head covering while attending Sunday mass. Her punishment, well there wasn’t any so maybe catholicism is also a religion of peace as is Islam…
It’s kinda hard to be at war with Islam, when you secretly practice Islam. –BO — It’s not like there is much else going on in there, like say for instance intelligent thought.
