Senator’s husband’s firm cashes in...(Exclusive: Washington Times, April 21, 2009, by Chuck Neubauer). Sen. Diane Feinstien, (D-Ca.)….sought 25 billion for an agency, (the FDIC), that awarded a contract to her husband’s company. The 25 billion in taxpayer money, awarded to her husband’s real estate firm, was a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at a higher compensation rate than is normal for that industry.
Ms. Feinstein’s intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp was unusual since, (Feinstein), isn’t a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs wich has jurisdiction over the FDIC.
What we have here is an out and out fraud slammed on the American taxpayer by one of the leading California limousine liberals, (she being second only to Pelosi). Feinstein and her husband denied any wrong doing, (par for the course when caught red-handed). However, we should not be surprized that as a rich U.S. Senator she, (Feinstien), like the rest, evidently feels an entitlement to taxpayer money – after all - others in the new administration have gotten away with tax evasion and God only knows what else.
Looking at this little fiasco we can safely assume she will get away with this impropriety given the fact the the majority, (as we have seen), of the mainstream media seems to give corruption a free pass in this administration, focusing more on prosecuting people who have kept us free from terrorist attacks, since 9/11.
Meanwhile……
Rep. Jane Harmon, (D-Ca.) is involved in a seperate scandal involving allegations that she personally offered to intervene with the Justice Department in a case involving…. ”two former pro-Isreali lobbyists accused of illegally disclosing national defense secrets” (Los Angeles Times – Front Page, April 22, 2009, by Josh Meyers and Gregg Miller Reporting from Washington). According to the Times, “Rep. Harmon is trying to beat back media reports that a federal wiretap, recorded her offering to intervene with the Justice Department on behalf of the lobbyists”.
You might ask how is it that when politicians who get caught violating the law or ethics have the audacity to deny conclusive damning evidence? Want the answer? Politicians it would seem, (plenty of proof of this), are the worst self serving liars and charlatans and seem to have no compunction about serving their own selfish interests to the exclusion of those they are elected to represent. That being said I have a solution…anyone who runs for and gets elected to a public office, should consent to having a lobotomy of whatever frontal lobe is involved in negative decision making – think about it - anyone desperate enough to seek the job under that condition would most likely be content with the great salary and medical benefits, (that we don’t have), and would definitely be serving the public interest!
Just a thought.
Beaudreaux
I pity the fool that votes for such advancement for the wealthy and corrupt.
Mr. E – Unfortunately this is the result of an ignorant and under educated population that thinks these politicians are concerned with their interests. Feinstien, Pelosi and Reed are only concerned with how much money they can squeeze from us without getting caught….as for Obama, I may be wwrong but, he seems to fit with the description of the Anti-Christ as described in the Book of Revelations…no matter though…these clowns are a plague on the land – one way or another.
If being a california resident as a republican is not embarrassing enough. Add fraud to the list w/ incompetency as the chronic problem. It must be the weather that attracts people to California.
