Give us a break!

Administration is urged to hire Muslims, (Los Angeles Times, Nation, Sun, March 29, 2009, pg. A6, by Noreem S. Ahmad- Ullah, reporting from Chicago – Allah save us).  “In a bid to get more Muslim Americans working in the, (Barak Hussein), Obama administration, a book with the resumes of the nations most qualified, (Muslim Americans),  Ivy League Grads, Fortune 500 excutives and public servants, all carfefully vetted, (by who?), has been submitted to the White House.”

Here we go again. Where do these clowns come from. Muslims, by their own admission, put Allah and the Koran first…..that being said why would you put people who serve their religion first in the White House? Americans do not seem to understand that labeling a group by their religion is actually  the anti-thesis of the founding fathers who decreed, in essence, that no one religion shall be a part of government. Looking further should we also include the top resumes of the top 45 Christian Fundementalists, Orthodox Jews, Budhists,  Bahai, Catholics, Reform Jews, Mormon, Wikens etc, etc?

Really now, how can you trust people who put their individual religious tenents over other segments of the population? (this is not an indictment of helping thy  neighbor or showing compassion to the less fortunate – that should be a part of every normal person’s psyche.) Looking at the Middle East, Pakistan, Africa, India and other places where Islam reigns you see only despotism, poverty and extreme violence, which is not to say all Muslins are involved. However, I am suspicious of people who state their religious preference as part of their resume. You get the picture.

Holiday provokes war between the souths, (Los Angeles Times, Nation, Sun. March 29, 2009.) ” In a war that has pitted the Old South against the New, defenders of the Confederate legacy have  opened a fresh front in their campaign to polish an image tarnished, they say, by people who do not respect Southern values.”

Here goes the media stirring it up again. Why does it make a difference if a segment of the nation wants to set the record straight on their version of history. Like it or not the Civil War was only about slavery when Lincoln was advised that more Federal troops were needed in addition to the German and Irish immigrants who being brought into the country to enlarge the Union Army which was being battered by much smaller Confederate forces;  for the Confederates, at least the poor farmers, merchants and tradesmen, who did not own slaves the war was about States Rights, (the liberal revisionists not accepting that have for years spun their own take on what they believe the war was about – these people were mostly socialists and communist propagandists who gained a lot of ground during the  early years of Franklin Roosevelt’s administration.)

No doubt, and one would be foolish to dispute it, the fact remains that slavery was a terrible institution, but I would also advise those revisionists to look at the Northern industrialists who abused child laborers and women in their dirty and overcrowded factories, while making huge profits from the war. I believe it’s time to educate the public on the “big picture” of true events – just my take on the whole mess.
